7th Annual China Airport Summit

March 29 - 30, 2012 in Changsha/China
GATE plans to send a delegation to the Summit for further penetration of the growing Chinese Airport scenario.

April 24 - 26, 2012 in Sao Paulo/Brazil
The urgent expansion of Brazilian airports is imperative to meet the growing demand of air traffic. Investment on equipments, services and technology are also mandatory. After the 2010 experience with Transpoquip GATE decided to switch to the airport technology dedicated AirportInfraExpo in Sao Paulo in April 2012.
Until 2014, the Brazilian Government might invest R$ 5,5 billions on most important airports. The possibility of opening the market to concessions represents great opportunities for German companies.

Airport Show Dubai*
May 22 - 24, 2012 in Dubai/UAE
German GSE companies organized already in 1981 the first presentation of equipment in Dubai. Since then, German airport technology is frequently attending airport exhibitions in the UAE. Believing in a 2-year interval the official German participation was absent in 2011 but will attend with a German Pavilion, supported by the BMWi, again in 2012.
The airport show 2010:
HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airports and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, and the German Counsel General, Mr. Jörg Herrera, visiting the German Pavilion.
Projects in UAE:
• Dubai Airports announced recently its 2020 strategy plan which includes investments worth over AED 28.4 billion to implement the fourth phase of Dubai Airport expansion and increase the airport's capacity to over 90 million passengers.
• Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) announced investments to the tune of AED 24.8 billion to improve the Abu Dhabi airport and the capacity to 40 million passengers a year. The completion of the project is expected to be in 2015 - 2016.
• Sharjah intends to spend AED 500 million in airport facilities and expansions.
• Fujairah has budgeted AED 160 million for the expansion, too.
